2. Twitterrific

3. Snitter: a desktop Twitter client

Snitter is made on the Adobe AIR platform which is both Mac OSX and Microsoft Windows compatible. There is currently a Linux version of Adobe AIR in alpha testing but some functionality is likely missing.

LaTwit is a full featured client for Twitter and StatusNet (formerly known as Laconica) based social networking sites such as Twit Army and Identica. It also supports posting using Ping.fm.

LaTwit uses a unified timeline. This means that it will display all of your friends messages from multiple accounts and sites in a single consolidated view. It also has the option to show TwitPic image previews directly in the timeline, and has support for XMPP instant messages.
